James Hilgert Williams Jr.

James H. Williams, 83, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2026.

He was born on November 4, 1942, in Easton, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Easton High School, James proudly served in the United States Air Force.

On November 24, 1962, he married the love of his life, Edith Williams, with whom he shared many devoted years.

Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, James built a successful career in the automotive industry with BMW of North America. He had a lifelong passion for cars, which he expressed through his involvement in the North Texas Corvette Club, the North Texas Mustang Club, and as a lifetime member of the Christian Classic Cruisers Car Shows. He especially enjoyed model cars and participating in car shows.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Edith Williams; his sister, Lynn Ruthrauff; his son, James Williams, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Williams; and his cherished grandchildren, Eric and Elaina Williams.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the same location.

A committal service with military honors will follow at 1:00 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
