Mrs. Janice C Metzger

Jan loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren and considered shopping her cardio. She was an amazing seamstress and cook and loved to host family for Christmas. She was the life of all pool parties and always made a splash with her grandchildren. She was a teacher’s aide for physical education at Stonegate Elementary for almost 20 years. She also worked at Hallmark where she shared her cheerful smile and love of holidays with her customers.

Jan is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law Dedee Valdez and husband Mark of Neosho, MO, Jill Hobbs and husband Darin of Euless, TX, Colette “Coco” Numajiri and husband Akira of Dallas, TX, Erin Boyce and husband Courtney of Victoria, TX, grandchildren Mark Valdez, Jake Valdez, Elise Oggero and husband Jonathan, Nolan Boyce, Tatum Boyce, Zayden Numajiri, Sadie Boyce, Nikko Numajiri and great grandchildren Matthew Caspier, Tripp Valdez and Warner Oggero and is preceded in death by her parents Leon and Mildred Turner, brothers Jimmy Turner and Tony Turner, husband Robert Metzger and granddaughter Sophia Numajiri.

The service to honor Jan’s life will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, TX on Saturday, March 28 at 1:30pm with visitation on Friday, March 27 from 5:00-7:00pm.
