

Jennie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Known for her quiet strength, generous heart, and kind spirit, she touched the lives of all who knew her. She lived her life rooted in faith, guided by grace, and committed to loving and serving others.
As a loving mother her love knew no bounds. She was the heart of her family, an unyielding source of strength, grace, and nurturing support. She was a dedicated wife to her husband, Billy Paul, for 69 years, and together they created a home filled with faith, love, and laughter. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Jennie was born on November 11, 1935, in Tuttle, Oklahoma, to Fred and Lora Bailey. Jennie was deeply
committed to education. She earned her undergraduate degree in Education from Texas Wesleyan University and later pursued a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Texas Woman’s University, graduating in May 1985. Jennie’s career as an educator was marked by a deep dedication to her students and a love for teaching that inspired many. She taught in the Birdville Independent School District and retired after 23 years.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 69 years, Billy Paul Wright; her two daughters, Paula Butts and husband Todd of Bedford, Texas, Kim Ford and husband Ron of Colleyville, Texas. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Chelsea Kennedy, Jacee Butts, Tanner Ford, and Westin Ford, along with her sister, Norma Steward of Haltom City, Texas.
A celebration of Jennie’s life will be held at Birdville Baptist Church, 3141 Carson Street, Haltom City, Texas 76117, on September 26, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m.
The committal will take place at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas
76034, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Birdville Baptist Church in her honor.
