John Austin Harrington

Austin Harrington, of Dallas, TX passed away on April 27, 2019 in Tulsa, OK. He will always be remembered as a loving son, brother and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on September 22, 1988 in Ft. Worth, TX to Kimberly Morris Harrington and John Harrington.

Austin was a lifelong athlete playing baseball and football and all sports as a very young man. He went on to play both baseball and football at Grapevine High School where he lettered in Football for 3 years. After high school Austin played Division 1 football at the University of Nevada Las Vegas for 5 years where he distinguished himself as a superior athlete and mentor, earning UNLV Football’s Most Valuable Player his senior year.

Austin never wanted to be a leader, but Austin was always a leader. To Austin…everybody counted. No one was unimportant.

Austin’s favorite things included music, BMX, food, family, friends and dogs. He was the life of every party and always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room.

Austin is survived by his parents John and Kim Harrington, his sister Haley and her fiancé Daniel DiFonzo, his aunt Carol Harrington, his aunt and uncle Kelly and Troy Gardner and his cousin T.J. Gardner all residing in the DFW Metroplex. Austin is also survived by his dear friend and love Shana Keilani of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

The visitation will be held from 6 – 8 o’clock p.m. on Friday May 3, 2019 at Keller’s Old Town Funeral Home, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday May 4, 2019 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1000 Tinker Road, Colleyville, TX 76034.

Pallbearers are Casey Russell, Michael Graham, Ryan Hanifin, Luke Plante, Ryan Wolfe and Luke Sawyer.
