

He was born in Coaldale, Arkansas on October 14, 1910 and spent most of his growing up years in Shawnee, Oklahoma. His parents were Ruben and Ella Norman.
He was the Editor of his high school newspaper and an orator, winning a gold medal for his speech titled "I Am An American."
After graduating from high school, he worked as a salesman in a merchandise store in Kinta, Oklahoma and as a baker in Stigler, Oklahoma.
He and the love of his life, Ina, were married in 1937 in Vian, Oklahoma and were married for 75 years. In 1942 he moved his family to Grand Prairie, Texas to work for the North American Aircraft plant (later to be named Chance Vought). Through the years he delivered bread for Manor Baking Company, worked for Bell Helicopter and was a realtor/broker for two real estate agencies.
Being an artist, he enjoyed painting landscapes and wildlife pictures and giving them to family members.
One of his hobbies was building and painting birdhouses and giving them to family. Several years ago he built a canoe, painted it red and put Ina's name on it.
He was an avid vegetable gardener and he and Ina loved working in their gardens for many years.
Jack was a Master Mason for over 60 years, a member of the Sam R. Hamilton Lodge No. 1031 in Grand Prairie, Texas. It was a blessing to him.
He loved to travel and he and Ina traveled to many states in the U.S. and to several European countries.
He was a Christian and he and Ina were members of the First United Methodist Church of Bedford in Bedford, Texas for over 35 years.
His favorite book was the Bible and favorite movies were "Ben Hur" and "The Ten Commandments." Favorite food was fried chicken.
One of his favorite sayings was "Success comes in cans --I can and you can." He was a true optimist ad always spread joy wherever he went. He loved hosting family cookouts and holiday dinners for family and friends and lived life to the fullest. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, seven half brothers, three half sisters, and other family members.
Surviving him are three daughters, Barbara Hollis, Jackie Delois Norman, and Iris Langford; one son, David Norman; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and many other relatives.
