Joseph Conrad Haines, 76, passed away on September 2, 2015. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, September 5, in First Baptist Church Fort Worth, 5001 NE Loop 820. Interment: Restland Dallas. Visitation: 5 to 8 pm on Friday, at the funeral home. Joe was born on January 2, 1939, in New Bedford, Massachusetts and moved to Texas in 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1962 aboard the USS Hornet. He was an ordained Baptist Minister and a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Worth. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Fort Worth Scottish Rite and served in the Flying Fez Unit. He was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Alta, and Carl Hill; brother-in-law, Harold Hill; and a son-in-law, Kenney Beard, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Norma Haines; sons, James Haines and wife, Terry and Joe Haines and wife, Wendy; daughters, Carla Beard and Cindy Haines; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Solon; a brother, Roger Haines; a nephew, Russell Hill; nieces, Melanie Hager and Michelle Fowler; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ellington and husband, Dave.
