Judith A. Barry

Judith Barry, born in the Bronx, NY in 1933, passed away February 12, 2026, at 92 years old.

In a decade where it was uncommon for women to pursue higher education, she graduated from Fordham University which is where she met her first husband James Barry.

Judy and Jim built a life in Dix Hills NY, where they raised their three children Brian, Brendan and Colin. She was active in the community, including being the treasurer of the school district. After Jim’s passing Judy eventually met her second husband Joseph Barry (no relation) in NY.

They later moved to Dana Point California to be closer to Brian and Brendan and live at the beach. While living in CA Joe and Judy married in 2004.

Later in life Judy and Joe decided to relocate to the Dallas Fort Worth area to be more actively involved and engaged with her two loving grandchildren Carson and Mason.

She led a life of adventure with many interests to include skiing, scuba diving, travel, love of the beach, ocean and family.

Judy is survived by her three sons Brian, Brendan (son in law Michael Jung), Colin (daughter in law Deven), twin grandsons Carson and Mason, her loving siblings Susanne Gibbons and Albert Kirchner.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving first husband James Barry and her beloved second husband Joseph Barry (no relation), her sister Kathy Connolly, their parents Albert and Catherine Kirchner and her brother-in-law Kevin Barry.

A visitation will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034, United States. The visitation is scheduled for February 21, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

An additional service will be held this spring when Judy is entombed in Long Island. Details to follow.
