Kathi Aileen Burkheimer

Kathi Aileen Burkheimer was born on March 2nd, 1961, at Zaragoza Air force Base Hospital, Zaragoza Spain. She was the fourth child born to Dale and Helen Burkheimer. Kathi attended schools in Hurst Texas, including Hurst Junior High and LD Bell High school, where she graduated in 1979.

Kathi worked in a variety of businesses, initially doing production line work at a local manufacturing company. She later worked for local restaurants. Her love of animals led her to work at the Humane Society of Texas and later Kathi was employed by the City of Watauga. She also cared for family pets when their owners were away, a service for which she was quite sought after. Kathi has been retired since 2016 when her mother passed.

Kathi accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church in Hurst. She was a member for many years of North Point Baptist Church in Hurst Texas until she passed

Kathi was a devoted daughter, a loving sister, and an energetic friend to her nephews and nieces. She loved traveling with family, watching wrestling with her Dad, and Cowboys football. She was a big fan of 1970s rock music. Most of all Kathi loved her animals.

Kathi Burkheimer passed away June 14, 2024 after a short illness. Kathi leaves behind a sister, Amy Long and Amy's husband Michael Long, a brother Rex Burkheimer and his wife Celia Burkheimer, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of extended family and friends. Kathi was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Helen Burkheimer, sister Vicki Bensley, and brother Robert Burkheimer.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
