Kathleen Diane Carlton

Kathy Carlton went home to be with the Lord Sunday July 22, 2018 at the age of 66 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her best friend and husband, Wes and her loving children, Alisa, Curtis, James, her sisters Linda and Ruthanne, her husband Steve, and her 6 grandchildren.

Kathy received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and began her career with the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas almost 25 years ago. She was known for her gracious tenacity, vibrant personality, and her ability to influence others related to issues affecting her beloved association.

Kathy attained the Gold Award in the Girl Scouts of America and this fostered a life-long career of selfless volunteerism. Kathy was the consummate volunteer in any community or organization in which she was involved. She was the Director of the Girl Scouts of America in the Oklahoma Council; She was the President of American Youth Hostels; the Vice President of the Texas Foster Parent Association; and the President and Co-Founder of the Irving Community Theater. She was also very involved in the Trophy Club Women’s Club serving as its President for two years.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday July 28 at 10:00 AM at Fellowship United Methodist Church located at 101 Trophy Club Dr., Trophy Club, Texas 76262.
