

He was born in Decatur, Texas on August 18, 1936. Kellis was a graduate of Boyd High School and attended Arlington State College (now UTA). He married Linda Culbertson of Roanoke, Texas, on March 16, 1957.
Kellis worked at Convair, LTV and Rohr Aircraft during young adult years and in 1968 established his own manufacturing company building aircraft parts for the Defense Department, General Dynamics, Vought and Boeing. He operated it until his retirement in 2022.
Kellis was a sports fan and over the years had season tickets to the Cowboys, the Mavericks and the Rangers. But most of all, he loved his family.
Kellis was predeceased by his parents, Cordis and Mary Page Pound, and his brother Floyd Page Pound. He is survived by his wife Linda of Colleyville, son Michael of Irving, Texas, daughter Sheila Jennings and son-in-law Bart Jennings of Dripping Springs, Texas, granddaughter Sarah Heath and her husband Dr. Spencer Heath of Fort Worth, granddaughter Aisling Jennings of Bellingham, Washington, granddaughter Air Force Staff Sergeant Olivia Pound of Mildenhall AFB, Bury St. Edmonds, UK, and granddaughter Caroline Pound of Dallas.
Graveside will be Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 3pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park; Colleyville, Texas.
