Linda Shires

Linda Marie Wren Shires was born August 19,1949 in Dallas, Texas to Mary Nauvelene and LC Wren. She passed away in Kemp, Texas on September 2, 2015. Linda started working at Mutual of Omaha at age 17 in 1967.She would work there for 29 years. In 1996 she started working at Children's Health ( Children's Medical Center) of Dallas in the Pediatric Cardiac Lab. She would remain employed there until her illness forced her to retire in May 2015. Linda, having never had children of her own doted on her nieces and nephews as if they were her own and she loved each and everyone of them unconditionally. She was a loving sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all of those of whose lives she touched. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; a brother, Bubba; and a nephew, Clint. She is survived by her sisters, Elaine Hennig (Randy) of Kaufman TX, Tammy McClung (Corky) Of Kemp TX, numerous nieces and nephews and Wayne Leath of Everman. Pallbearers will be Phillip Binkley, Harlan Binkley, Clint Binkley, Clayton Binkley, Bart McClung and Chris McClung. Pastor Brother Paul McKinney officiating. Elaine and Tammy would like to thank her Children's Family for giving Linda the trip of a lifetime sending her and her sisters to NYC to visit her favorite place in the world...Macy's. It will be a cherished memory for Elaine and Tammy forever. A special thanks is being sent to Dr. Haskell Kirkpatrick and the infusion nurses at Texas Oncology for the loving care given to our beautiful sister and a special thanks to Texas Cowboys Against Cancer. Sissy, You will always remain in our hearts and we will see you again one day. We love you, Elaine and Tammy
