

Louis Jesus Soulé, 89, passed away peacefully with his wife of 68 years by his side on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Louie was a native of El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Austin High School and attended El Paso Community College where he attained an associate’s degree. He served proudly in the United States Navy. Upon leaving the military, Louie remained in public service in the El Paso Fire Department for 20+ years, where he retired as a Lieutenant. Following his retirement from the Fire Department, he continued to stay busy, embracing a variety of new roles with his trademark energy and drive. He held a leadership role at Food City in El Paso, Texas, performed route sales with Otis Spunkmeyer and a warehouse management role with Greensheet in Dallas, Texas.
Louie was born on February 18, 1936, to Carlos G. Soulé and Consuelo Gándara Soulé. He married Mary Lou Meza Soulé in 1957. They spent most of their lives in El Paso, Texas, and ultimately moved to Bedford, Texas. Louie was a parishioner and active member of St. Michael's Church where he served as eucharistic minister.
In addition to his spouse, he leaves behind his sister Hope Soulé Medlock (Gary), sister-in-laws Carolina Bencomo Soulé and Bettye Soulé, his children Louis (Pamela), Adrienne (Danny Beller), Melissa (Allen Hutchason), Danny (Martha) and Joey (Jenny) Soulé. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, Cassidi Ennen (Brett), Louis Hoops (Sarah Mondle), Ryan Hoops (Sahreena), Jake and Gina Beller, Alexandria Vazquez (Alejandro), Daniel, Jacqueline, Joshua Soulé, Paul (Shalon) Fenn and Katie (Ryan) Rainey. His great grandchildren include Evelyn and Maria Ennen, Vivian Fox, Samuel Dallas, Mathew, Nathaniel, Osiris and Priana Soulé, Harper, Sloan and Rylee Rainey.
Louie is predeceased by his parents, his sister Lucila, his brothers Carlos and Fernando and his grandson Jace Edward Dallas, whom we lost too soon.
A devoted servant of his country, his community, his family and his church, Louie lived a life marked by courage, faith in God, and unwavering dedication to others. Family was at the heart of who Louie was. He created lasting memories filled with love and laughter. He was a proud man; you always knew where you stood with him, and he was real. Those who knew him best appreciated his honesty, his heart, and his steadfast commitment to being there when it truly mattered.
His was a life well lived, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Louis will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3713 Harwood Rd, Bedford, TX 76021. A burial will occur Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 2:15 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
