Lt. Ruben S. Rucker, SPD Ret. (8/25/1952- 1/20/2019) lived an eventful life. With over 40 years in public safety as a Paramedic, Police Officer, and Arson Investigator, he was a great leader, who stood for what he believed and dedicated his life to protect, serve, and save others.
He was a family man and many were proud to call him a friend. He was truly loved, even if he wouldn’t admit it, and will be missed by many. Ruben is survived by his wife: Donna, daughter: Stacie, son: Steven, daughter-in-law: Nicole, two very special grandchildren: Abigail & Zoey, and a big spoiled hound named Moose. Ruben was preceded in death by many dear friends and a special Labrador Retriever named Mr. Toby. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, January 25, 2019, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel (Colleyville, TX). Interment will immediately follow the service, followed by a reception in the Bluebonnet Hills Aspen room. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 9 am. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to one of Lt. Rucker’s favorite charities: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, or LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry.
