

Maxx Bedford, beloved son, grandson, brother, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on September 9, 1989, in Fort Worth, Texas, Maxx spent his early childhood there. At age seven, he moved with his family to Colleyville, Texas. For the last eight years of his life, Maxx called Plano, Texas, home, where he created lasting memories and friendships.
As a child, Maxx enjoyed participating in a variety of sports, including soccer, football, basketball, track, skateboarding, and baseball. He was a decorated Cub Scout and Boy Scout, reflecting his dedication and leadership skills. Eventually, Maxx focused on baseball, and his talent in the sport led him to become a TCU baseball recruit.
Maxx attended L.D. Bell High School, graduating in 2008. He was recognized as an honor student and was a member of the varsity baseball team. Continuing his passion for baseball, Maxx attended Northlake College, where he also played on the baseball team.
Throughout his life, Maxx was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and TCU football. His faith and family were central to his life, but above all, he deeply loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Doris Dinkel, Ralph Bedford, and Charles Scheetz, as well as his uncles, Tony Scheetz, Michael Scheetz, Kenny Bedford, and Dennis Weid, and his aunt, Cheryl Scheetz.
Maxx is survived by his son, Nikolas Jordan; his mother, Patricia Scheetz Bedford, and father, Lester Bedford; sister Sara Bedford Cheek and husband Atlas Cheek IV; nephew Atlas Cheek V; grandmother Lucille Scheetz; aunts Jan Williams, Derenda Bedford, Linda Bedford, Charlene Turner, Rosemary Weid, and Joann Scheetz; uncles Tony Bedford, Kenneth Scheetz, Dennis Scheetz, and Lee Turner; and a large, loving extended family who will miss his presence dearly.
Maxx’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service honoring Maxx Bedford will be held on May 1, 2026, at 10:30 am at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034.
