Dearest Kathy and Brenda,

Throughout the years, every once in awhile I would try to find you all and Mike but nothing ever came up that I could find.

David asked me this evening if I had talked to any of you recently and I told him I never found you all.  So, tonight, I looked up Mike using his middle name (as it came to me) and low and behold, I find this. I am SO very sorry for your loss. 

Even though we haven't seen or spoken to you all in many many years, we still have fond memories of you all.

The fond memories of playing Canasta and Spades at your house and eating dinner at your house too many times to count. 

I'm so sorry that when I finally found you all, that it was due to these circumstances.

I don't know if you will ever see this, but just in case, I wanted you to know we have never forgotten you all.

Mike will be dearly missed by me and my husband. Over the 15 years that we have lived across the street from him & Kathy,  we became very good friends. Best neighbors ever. My best memory of Mike was when I rescued kittens from my shed and brought a couple of the over to show them and right away Mike wanted to hold them. It put such a smile on his face. I will always remember his laughter. He is with his beloved SAM& OTTO who he loved dearly. Our hearts go out to his wife Kathy who became such a great friend to us. If you ever need anything, we are hear for you always.

Dearest Kathy, Brenda, and Timothy,

Chris and I wish to express our deep sorrow for the loss of your husband, father, and Paw-Paw respectively. We feel truly blessed to have been a part of Mike's life for over two decades.  We're thankful that we were able to enjoy his company throughout the years and that we were treated as something more than just casual acquaintances. Mike viewed Chris and I as family. We're thankful that in his last days, we were able to be by by his side, keeping him company in the hospital and that we were even able to chat with him a bit. On the Friday before he passed, as I held his hand by his bedside, he told me that he loved me. My heart swelled with joy at hearing those words. There was a sincerity in his words that touched me deeply. I will carry that memory with me until we meet again. I know he loved Chris as a son too and that meant so much to Chris.  Although he was a subdued man, he always embraced my husband and gave a fatherless boy the love that he never had from his own father. Thank you for sharing him with us.

He was truly a special person that had a heart of gold. He was a humble man that without calling attention to himself, did so many kind things for others. Jehovah will remember this and all that he did in supporting you, Kathy, Brenda, and Timothy, in your worship to him. He will remember him for all of the good things he did on behalf of the friends as well. 

We were blessed to know him and long for the day when we see him again. This is not, "Goodbye." Its, "We'll see you soon." Until then, may Jehovah grant you peace and comfort. Know that you are loved and that Dad left an indelible mark on our lives and hearts that will never be extinguished.
