“Mikey” • “Little Mike”
May 30, 1974 – February 1, 2026
Age 51
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Micheal Dwayne Greenwood II of Keller, Texas. Mike passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, at the age of 51, surrounded by loved ones following a sudden illness of pneumonia.
Mike was born on May 30, 1974, in Bedford, Texas, and graduated from Trinity High School in 1992. Throughout his life, he worked various jobs, but the role he cherished most—and the one he was most proud of—was being a full-time dad. He was deeply devoted to his children and grandchildren, who were the greatest joy of his life.
Mike shared an especially close and treasured bond with his mother, Joyce. After the passing of his father, he was blessed to have Jeff Wiebersch in his life, whom he lovingly called “Dad.” Together, Joyce and Jeff supported and cared for Mike through life’s challenges. Following a motorcycle accident in 2006, Mike lived in several nursing homes before eventually making his home at Keller Oaks, where he continued to touch lives with his warmth, humor, and resilient spirit.
Mike had a passion for riding his motorcycle and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—laughing with others, playing bingo, attending church services, celebrating Christmas, and cheering on his favorite football team, the Michigan Wolverines. He was known for his quick wit, intelligence, and the jokes he shared so fiercely. His bright smile and contagious laughter could light up any room, and he worked hard to make each day meaningful despite the obstacles he faced.
Mike is survived by his mother, Joyce Greenwood, and Jeff Wiebersch; his sons, Trey and Tyler Greenwood; his daughter, Elizabeth (Hall) Logue; his siblings, Rhonda Neal (Doug), Sheila Manning (John), Dennis Greenwood (Heather), and Daniel Greenwood (Rose); his beloved grandchildren, Anastasia, Lochlan, and Remington Logue; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Micheal Dwayne Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do what Mike would have done: call someone who needs to hear your voice—maybe even sing “I Just Called to Say I Love You,” just like Mike always did—share a laugh with a stranger, or simply choose joy even when it’s hard. That is how he lived, and it is the brightest part of his legacy.
The world is dimmer without Mike’s light, but because he shared it so freely, it still glows in every heart he touched.
A visitation will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX, 76034, on February 7, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The funeral service is scheduled for February 9, 2026, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, at the same address, from 1:30 pm.
