Modena Joan Carpenter Elmore

Celebration of life: 3 p.m. Thursday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville.

Jo was born Oct. 17, 1959, in Fort Worth to James A. Carpenter and Deanna Joan Partin Carpenter Hiett.

Jo graduated from Diamond Hill High School and remained a Diamond Hill Eagle throughout her life. Jo was a loving devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother "Momo," sister, aunt and friend. Jo enjoyed cooking, camping and crafting. Above all, she enjoyed celebrating life with family and friends.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, James A. Carpenter and Joan Carpenter Hiett; and grandparents, J.D and Modena Fawks.

Survivors: The love of her life of 36 years, Daniel Elmore; three children and five grandchildren, daughter, Jennifer Elmore, grandson, Cameron, son, Christopher (Amanda), grandchildren, Nicholas, MacKenzie and Brooklyn, son, James (Brianna), grandson, Hudson; brother, David Carpenter (Anne), Cindy Carpenter Collins, Lori Carpenter Myers (Tim); stepfather, Rudy Hiett; stepsister, Laurie Istook (Don); stepbrothers, Todd Hiett (Paula), Mark and Tyson Hiett; and sisters-in-law, Triesta Ellison, Tina Doyle (Rick) and Marcie Elmore (Blue). She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who love her deeply. Her sweet spirit and beautiful heart will be missed every day.
