Heaven opened up and Lewis, better known as “Peep” and Jean, better known as “Nana” entered in.
Nana passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2021 and Peep on Thursday, January 15, 2021. A celebration of their lives will be held on Wednesday, January 27 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, Colleyville Texas. Visitation will be from 11:30 to 12:30, followed by a celebration service and burial.
Peep was born on March 6, 1928 to Orville and Willie Doyle in Merit, Texas. Nana was born on August 16,1931 to William and Martha Garner in Farmersville, Texas.
On October 28, 2020, Peep and Nana celebrated 70 glorious years together. Most of those years were spent in the home they bought in 1959.
Peep served in the US Army and then went on to work for the Friedman Co. until his retirement. Nana worked as a sign language interpreter before moving to the library at Mullendore Elementary in the Birdville I.S.D. One of the joys of her life was reading to the many children that came through her library.
Peep was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, O.A., Kenneth, and Richard, and sisters, Mary Griffin, Billie Branch, and Juanita Pruitt. Nana was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Grady, Roy, Estes and Lee, and sisters Mae Bowers and Belle Lawerence.
They leave behind two daughters, Debbie Pearson (Bill) of Tolar, Texas and Cindy Foster (Mark) of North Richland Hills, Texas. Nana is also survived by her 99 year old sister Bertie Smith of Hillsboro, Texas.
Their real joys were their grandsons, Austin Pearson (Laurie) of Saginaw, Texas, Tyler Pearson (Nicole) of Richland Hills, Texas and Landon Foster (Keilah) of North Richland Hills, Texas and granddaughter, Jenn Pearson of Watauga, Texas. They were privileged to have seven great grandchildren and what a joy they were. Kinsley, Presley, Skye, Rafen, William, Ali, and Collins.
Their home was always filled with laughter and was a gathering place for many family celebrations. They will always be remembered for the unconditional love they showed their family.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” Psalms 127:3.
Our family would like to thank all the Drs. and nurses that took such good care of our sweet parents. A special thanks goes to Cicely Isabell, an angel sent from Heaven to take care of our Peep.
Memorials can be sent to your favorite charity.
