elegance and a zest for life. To her loving
husband Alfonso, she was his best friend and life partner. Together they shared a passion for music and travel. They loved being around their friends and family, enjoying good food and lots of laughs. Myrtho adored her children and grandchildren, too. Later in life she
defined the meaning of "aging gracefully",
doing so with admirable beauty and courage -
a very hard act to follow!

Myrtho Meneses Cardenas, 95 , of Hurst, Texas passed away peacefully on July 23, 2016 in Fort Worth following a brief illness. Myrtho was born in Veracruz, Mexico and grew up in Mexico City where she met the love of her life - Alfonso Elliott Cardenas. Later they moved to Torrance, California where they raised their three children. The loving couple were married for 56 years until his passing in 2006. She moved to Northeast Texas in 2008 to be near her family. Myrtho is survived by her three children: Alfonso M. Cardenas (Linda), Laura J. Cardenas and Lisette Cardenas Lebaillif (Laurent), her 5 grandchildren: Aemon Fowler, Alfonso Cardenas, Jr., Liana Cave, Trevor and Alex Riegelman, as well as by her 4 great-grandchildren: Augie, Hadrian, Titus and Arya. Myrtho touched the lives of many with her upliftng spirit and her affectionate smile. She had an elegant style that was hers alone, filled with great warmth and grace. She will remain forever in our hearts.
