Olen E Baugus, Jr., age 86, of Bedford, TX passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at home, surrounded by loved ones. Olen was born in Dallas, TX on March 23, 1938. He married the love of his life, Madelyn ”Faye” Perkins Baugus on November 5, 1955. Olen worked for the Kroger Company for over 40 years. He was a member of CenterPoint Church, North Richland Hills for many years. In his younger days he had a passion for coon hunting, camping, fishing, and spending time with his family. In his later years, the highlight of his week was playing dominoes every Wednesday evening with his 3 sons. He was also an avid wrestling fan all of his life.
He was a devoted husband and father.
He is survived by son, Edward Baugus and wife Tracey of Bedford, TX, son, Jimmy Baugus and wife, Sheila of Bedford, TX, son. Mitchell Baugus and wife, Sharon of Colleyville, TX. 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. 1 sister, Mary Ethel Brown of Dallas/Pleasant Grove, TX and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Olen will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A committal service will occur Friday, May 24, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
