Visitation - 6 - 8 PM Friday January 2nd at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX. Memorial Service - 1 PM Saturday January 3rd at Trinity Presbyterian Church 1452 W. Southlake Blvd., Southlake, TX. Since flowers were a vital part of Princetta's life, they are most welcome here. Please feel free to send flowers to either location. Any flowers sent to the Funeral Home will be enjoyed at the Memorial Service. Contributions to Community Storehouse P.O. Box 13, Keller, TX 76244 are also welcome. Princetta was born in Benton, KY to Clarence L and Florence Walton, both now deceased. As are only brothers CL and Billy, killed at Anzio, Italy in 1944. She moved to Houston at an early age growing up in what is now downtown Houston. She graduated from San Jacinto High School, progressing in administrative jobs to become secretary to the president of Houston Bank of Trust. Here she met husband Doug moving and ascending steps to north Texas, Indiana, North Carolina and finally home to Texas. Her interests turn to beauty, leading to an Interior Design degree from Central Piedmont College in Charlotte, NC. An easy transition to floral design led to her twice being president of Colleyville Garden Club as well as chairing their annual Promenade of outstanding homes. She especially enjoyed her annual outings of the engineering portion of American Petroleum Institute, a consequence of furthering her husband's career while providing an outlet for her love of entertaining, travel and cruising. This left time for her to design, build and maintain the Celebration Garden at her much-loved Trinity Presbyterian Church where she also served as an Elder. She gardened until health issues, a consequence of Lymphoma cancer first diagnosed in 1986, robbed her of the necessary stamina. Despite this holiday dinners were her specialty and grandma's house a haven. She leaves besides husband Doug a son, John R Howard of Denton, TX, daughter Leigh Stockbridge of Carver, MA, and son Steven of Grapevine, TX and wife Jennifer and much loved children Ava and Robert. She leaves also stepsons Andrew MacLaren, wife Dana and two children Kristin and Kyle with great-granddaughter Ellie of Austin, TX and Walter MacLaren of Orlando, FL and wife Diana with daughter Shannon. The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Anderson of Texas Oncology who with nurses Melonie and Trish kept her going these many years. Similar thanks goes to Dr. Keith Schorn of Southlake Family Medicine who always had time for an uplifting pat and welcomed phone call through her various illnesses. A private cremation Committal Service will be held following the Memorial Service to conclude earthly services for Princetta.
