Mrs. R Madeline Stone

Service: 3 p.m. Monday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Friends are encouraged to share remembrances from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Interment: Madeline will be laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Madeline was born in Fort Worth on July 13, 1926, to Laird and Retta McMurrey. She was married to Marvin Frank "Buddy" Stone on Feb. 26, 1944. They spent 52 wonderful years together until his death in 1996. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a wonderful homemaker who loved to sew, read, cook and care for her family.

A special thank-you to her granddaughter, Denise Hughes, for the wonderful and loving care she has shown her grandmother during the past several months and special thanks to Peggy Baker for the friendship and care given to her.

Madeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin F. Stone Sr.; son, Marvin Frank Stone Jr.; six brothers; and one sister.

Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law, Melody and Jimmy Hughes of Millsap, Debbie and Charles Rohmer of Benbrook, Janet and Charles Davis of North Richland Hills; daughter-in-law, Kathy Stone of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, M. Frank Stone III, Dennis Hughes, Jimmy Hughes Jr., Samuel Hughes, Christina Crump and Chad Davis; 11 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
