

Randall Dean Foster, age 99, of Bedford, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1925, in Columbia, Tennessee, to the late Harrison Ward Foster, Sr. and Ethel Irene Johnson Foster.
In June of 1945, Randall married the love of his life, Mary Hazel Goddard. Together they shared 62 years of marriage before her passing in 2008. Their life together was blessed with three children: Sandra Dean, Janet Susan, and Randall Ward Foster.
Randall proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Forces from 1944 to 1946, and afterward with the Tennessee Air National Guard from 1946 to 1950.
In 1946, he began his lifelong career with American Airlines, a relationship that would span 60 years. Starting in fleet service, he later became an aviation mechanic and went on to serve as a professional flight engineer. His dedication, skill, and professionalism earned him deep respect among his colleagues in the aviation industry. Late in his career, Randall flew for many international corporations, and even served as a flight engineer for actor John Travolta.
Beyond his professional life, Randall had a passion for photography and amateur radio. He was a charter member of the Hurst Amateur Radio Club, and through the years these pursuits brought him joy, creativity, and enduring friendships.
Randall was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hazel; his daughters, Sandra and Susan; and his great-grandson, Brandon.
He is survived by his son, Randall Ward Foster; his grandchildren, DeeAnna Price, Patti Nelson, and Scott Carr; and by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Randall will be remembered for his devotion to family, his service to country, his love of aviation, and his lifelong curiosity and creativity. His legacy of hard work, integrity, and love endures in the lives of those who knew him.
A visitation for Randall will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, Texas 76034. Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM at Saint John's Anglican Church, 2401 College Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76110.
