Jose “Rene” Guzman, age 57, of Lewisville, Texas. Passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. He is preceded in death by his father, James McDaniel; grandmother, Angelita Murillo; and one sibling Baby McDaniel. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Eva McDaniel; siblings, Viola Deen, Joe McDaniel, Norma Jean Johnson and her husband Jack; nephews and nieces, Kyra Deen, Brittany McDaniel, Tia Raley and her husband Tyler, and Miles Johnson; great nieces, Payton Flint and Ellie Raley; and close friends Bob Deen, Michael and Laura Goodwin, Sharon Harris and Al Amar. Rene was very close with his family. He was compassionate and warm hearted to everyone he met. He was always there when you needed him and loving and kind. He had a good sense of humor and was always laughing and smiling. Rene had a green thumb and loved to garden. He was very creative and an artist. Rene treated his nephews and nieces as his own children. He was loved and will be missed by his friends and family.
