Mrs. Rita Ann Robichaux Tanner

Rita Ann Tanner passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in Bedford, TX. She will always be remembered as "Granny" to all that knew and loved her. She was born on February 17, 1938 in Houma, LA. Her parents were Rita Elizabeth Landry Robichaux and Sidney Joseph Robichaux. She was the youngest of 11 children.

Rita was married to Thomas Franklin Tanner for 64 wonderful years. She was the matriarch of her family that she loved dearly. She enjoyed travelling, cooking, but most of all enjoyed family gatherings.

Rita is survived by her two brothers Raymond Robichaux, Allen Robichaux and her sister in law Nelwyn Robichaux. Her three children Tommy Lynn Tanner and wife Melanie, Joe Tanner and wife Laura and Paula Stevens and husband Scott.

Her pride and joy were her grandkids and great grandkids: Tommy Allen, Ginny, Robby, Derek, Jessica, Sarah, Ben, Chase, Yaffa, Brian, Zach, Tiffany, Chris, Madilynn, Devin, Dirk, Drew, Nash, Logan, Walker and Dylan.

Since Rita came from a big family, she has numerous nieces and nephews that she loved like her own. She had a way of making everyone feel special.

The visitation will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, TX.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home in Grapevine, TX.
