Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Cleary and her parents Anna Wallace and Jack Denner. She is survived by her six children, Michael Cleary (Christine) of Midlothian, Virginia, Kathleen Adams (Mitch) of Haslet, Texas, Jacqueline Aldredge (Woody) of Henrico Virginia, Matthew Cleary of Bedford, Texas, Christine Newton (Dan) of Bedford, Texas and Patrick Cleary (Rebecca) of Denver, Colorado. Ruth is also survived by seven grandchildren, Thomas Cleary (Chelsea), Jack Cleary, Brendan Cleary, Rebecca Aldredge, Carolyn Aldredge, Trevor Cleary and Colton Cleary.
Ruth was born in the Bronx, New York and attended Cathedral High School, an all-girls Catholic Preparatory school in New York City. Ruth and Tom relocated their family from North Babylon, NY to Bedford, Texas in 1982 with Caltex Petroleum. A woman of strong faith, she was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Bedford, Texas. She was an avid bowler, pianist, card player and crossword puzzle extraordinaire. Ruth never met a person she didn’t like. She was warm, caring, light-hearted and known for her good humor, good luck and wonderful spirit. She dearly loved her large family, numerous friends, and will be truly missed.
A Funeral Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated on Wednesday October 14, 2020 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3713 Harwood Rd. Bedford, TX 76021. Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034.
