Sarah was born on May 25, 1922 in Washington, Pennsylvania the oldest daughter of her father Francesco (Frank) and mother Pasqua (Esther) Insana who were from San Pier Niceto, Italy. Sarah was the second child and had an older brother Pete and two younger sisters; Frances and Carmella and two younger brothers; Dominic and Samuel A. From a very young age Sarah was a hard worker and had many jobs and talents. One job that she often spoke of was as a chicken pluckier. Sarah met the love of her life Charles known as “Chuck” who was the brother of one of Sarah’s friends. Chuck and Sarah were married on October 16, 1945. Sarah and Chuck were married for over 54 years before Chuck’s was taken by the Lord on November 23, 2000.
Sarah and Chuck had one child, their pride and joy, Frank Charles Molinets. Not long after Frank was born they moved to Cleveland, Ohio where Sarah worked in the meat department at Pick-N-Pay Supermarket for 23 years before she retired. Upon both their retirements Sarah and Chuck moved to Texas to live near their son and his family. Sarah and Chuck enjoyed helping raise their three grandsons together. Later Sarah would be blessed with two step great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Sarah was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved baking breads, cookies, nut and poppy seed rolls. She was also an outstandingly good cook, specializing in Italian dishes but no one would ever forget her memorable “potatoes and eggs.” Sarah took pride in her home and was a spotless housekeeper all of her life. Everything had its place and she knew if it was moved or otherwise.
Sarah was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a loving friend to many. She loved with all of her heart and always said that she “loved you more.”
Sarah Louise Molinets is survived by her son Frank C. (wife Berta), (ex- wife Denna J.) ; grandsons Charles S. (girlfriend Mia M.), Frank J. (wife Martha) and Zachary B. (wife Natalie); great-grandchildren Montserrat E., Frank B. and Torrance G.; Step great-grandchildren Joseph A. Robles (wife Jessica) and Jessica M. Eason (husband Chance); Sister Carmella C. Ruschell; God-daughter and niece Roseann M. West, best friend Nannette Recker (husband Bill) as well as her close friends and neighbors Darlene Brown (husband Larry).
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents Francesco and Pasqua; husband Chuck; brothers Pete, Dominic and Samuel A.; and sister Frances M.
Sarah touched the lives of countless other family and friends. She was much loved and will be greatly missed by all. She often talked about wanting to be remembered; she can rest assure that she will never be forgotten by her loved ones. We will all be waiting for whatever she decided to cook up that evening.
