Shelley Elaine Harris

Shelley Elaine Harris, 48 of Ft. Worth, Texas passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2025 in the presence of family at Harris Methodist Hospital in downtown Ft. Worth. A beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece and friend she is loved by many. She Was born to Edwin Palmer and Ruthie Elaine Amato on October 12, 1976 in Streamwood, Illinois.

Shelley graduated from Haltom High School in Haltom City, Tx in 1995 where she was a member of the first girls fast pitch softball team and later began a career in child care and education. She served as Director at Children's Lighthouse in Saginaw, Tx at the time of her passing.

Shelley is survived by her husband Chuck Harris, children Gage Rogers and Ashlee Harris, brother Keith Amato, sister Lori Rios, mother-in-law Teena Fogarty, niece Chelsea Singh and husband Devin Singh, nephews Brandon and Hunter Rios and her extended family including aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and will be dearly missed.

There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to our family and friends including the staff and parents at Children's Lighthouse in Saginaw for the show of support and love. Thank you to the Doctors and staff of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Harris Methodist Hospital Ft. Worth.
