Mrs. Sonia Rendon Cardenas

Sonia Rendon Cardenas, of Hurst, Texas, passed away on December 5th 2019, in Hurst Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, friend, colleague, amazing wife, and best friend, to all that knew and loved her. She was born on August 24th 1969, in Robstown, Texas to Ruben and Norma Rendon. Sonia Cardenas was a doting mother, faithful and loving wife. She was full of life and brightened every room she entered. She worked as an educator for 26 years, 23 of those years for Hurst Euless Bedford ISD. Sonia gained her Master’s degree in Education Administration and worked in Human Resources touching and changing many lives. Sonia Cardenas is survived by her husband Rodney Lee Cardenas and two sons Rodney Lee Cardenas Jr. and Ryan Phillip Cardenas of Hurst, Texas, brother Ruben Rendon, Jr (Deanna) of Kingsville, Texas, brother Robert Rendon (Ana) of San Antonio Texas, and sister Sarah Rendon of Corpus Christi, Texas); also survived by two nieces and five nephews. Visitation services will be held from 6 – 8 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday the 10th at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. A mass service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday the 11th at St. Michaels of Bedford Texas. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville Texas.
