

Thomas Milton Butler was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Thomas will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
He was the son of Ira and Clarice Butler.
Thomas was raised with three sisters, Wanda, Betty, Martha and one brother, Aubrey. Thomas was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
Empathic and loyal, Thomas was committed to making his new family happy.
Thomas worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Thomas was blessed with one daughter, Claudia. Another blessing for Thomas was the gift of six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Thomas, Sean, Richey, Bradley, Emily, Derrick, Benjamin, Leslie, Adyson, Alexis, Lucas, and Kaden.
Fortunately, Thomas enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Thomas worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. He was dedicated employee of General Motors for 30 years. Thomas always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Thomas passed away on April 16, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Left to cherish Thomas’ memory are: daughter, Claudia Goodson, and husband, Rickey; sisters, Wanda, Betty, and Martha; brother, Aubrey Ely and wife, Nell; brothers-in-law, Jerry Garner and Carol Garner; grandchildren, Thomas Clyde Butler, Sean Terrell Carter, Richey Wayne Goodson, Jr., Bradley Joe Goodson, and wife, Angela, and Emily and Derrick Scott Goodson; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Leslie Dockry, Adyson Goodson, Alexis Goodson, Lucas Goodson, Kaden Michael Carter and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. Thomas was laid to rest in Bluebonet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Thomas was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Thomas leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Thomas Milton Butler.

Thomas M Butler, 82, of Richland Hills, TX passed away on April 16, 2016. Funeral Service will be held on April 22, at 12:30pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Thomas was born to Ira and Clarice Butler in Hamlin, Texas on February 3, 1934. Thomas married the love of his life, Bobbye Ann Garner on Sept. 17, 1955 in Seagraves, Texas. They later moved to Fort Worth in 1957, and resided there until passing away. Thomas was a dedicated employee of General Motors for 30 years. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Thomas will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to have known him.
