

Timothy George Schroeder was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Timothy will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
He was the son of George and Rita Schroeder.
Timothy was raised with one sister, Susan. Timothy was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his sister. He and his sister shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Timothy had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Timothy enjoyed his college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Timothy was able to manage the balancing act. Tim graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Tim also graduated from UT Southwestern Medical School Dallas, Texas in 1990. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UT Health Science Center San Antonio, Texas. Following that he completed fellowships in both Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care, also at UT Health Science Center San Antonio, Texas.
Timothy was blessed with one daughter, Ana.
Fortunately, Timothy enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Timothy worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. Relocating to Grapevine, Texas he began his career in 1996 specializing in Critical Care Pulmonology at Baylor Grapevine. He was board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. Tim also obtained board certification for Hospice and Palliative Care in 2012 when he changed specialties. He found renewed enthusiasm leading the Palliative Care program at Baylor Grapevine and Baylor Irving. Timothy always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Timothy enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Tim was an avid gardener and an accomplished soccer player, most recently as an assistant coach for his daughter’s team. He was a great fan of music and musicians from rock to singer/songwriter. Tim also enjoyed sharing his passion for running and tandem bicycling with his daughter Ana. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Timothy’s faith was important to him. He was a proud member of Gateway Church – Southlake Campus.
Timothy passed away on July 28, 2016 at Baylor Grapevine Hospital in Grapevine Texas. Tim is survived by the joy of his heart, his daughter Ana Marie Schroeder, and her mother Roxanne Schroeder; sister Susan Schroeder, and partner Ann Williamson; significant other Chanda Little, and daughter Keira Hill; cousin Thomas Chittick, his wife Gabrielle and family; cousin Ginger Ollivier, her husband Louis and family; and additional family, an important circle of friends and esteemed colleagues. Services were held at Gateway Church in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Simply stated, Timothy was an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Timothy leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Timothy George Schroeder.
