My sincere condolences for your tragic loss of your beautiful, vibrant daughter, Victoria 🧡🧸💐🫂🙏🏻🙏🏻 I saw your daughter memorialized with a lovely life/personality description and precious pic in a Hockaday magazine. I attended Hockaday for my 4 years of high school 📚; it felt like college!   I am glad she got a first class education and loving parents 💝🌹

I was in Vicky advisory last year. She never showed up but when she did we would always cheer and she would make us ALL giggle. one day i brought slime to adviser Vicky had never seen slime. I remember her non stop questions and ideas about it. For Christmas i promised to give her a chug of slime. well i forgot ALOT but when we came back from the holiday break i gave it to her in return she gave me some fuzzy socks. i will forever cherish and hold the socks dear to me. Fly high Vicky forever in our hearts. she was a SUPER SUPER smart girl and has such a impact on many others. <3

My heartfelt condolences go out to you. I understand that this must be an incredibly difficult time for you, and I want you to know that you and Victoria are in my thoughts and prayers. I was so lucky to know her for the two years that she went to Hockaday.  I hope that you can find solace in the memories you shared with Victoria and take comfort in knowing that Victoria was a wonderful person who touched the lives of those around her. May she rest in peace and her memory live on forever.

Many prayers for the Dai family.  Victoria was a bright light.  She was funny, smart and focused.  She lit a passion for soccer in my girl and probably several others.  She left an impression on me and my family that I will cherish.  Thinking of you today and in the days ahead.  

Victoria and my daughter played with each other during recess time in Hockaday. Although my daughter was one grade higher than Victoria, I heard a lot of good things about her  from my daughter, about how full of energy and outgoing Victoria was and how amazingly well she did in AMC 8 test. This portrait is made by my daughter to remember Victoria. We will all miss Victoria and I am sure she is finding her peace up there.

Victoria and I have been friends since fifth grade at Hockaday. She has always been so nice, funny, and supportive. I remember how in fifth grade we made a club with two other girls and a whole website to go with it. Victoria was always thinking of fun things to do and we never had a dull moment with her. I remember when she would play four square at Daisy Den and she always tried to bend the rules just a little. She always put her whole heart into whatever she did. Victoria was such an amazing person and she will always be in our hearts. I love you Vicky. 

I can still recall the times during recess when you would drag me around and force me to join a new cult that you made. I remember playing nukem with you, and when you told me to keep being me and to keep in touch at the end of the school year, I never imagined that would be the last time I would ever see your cute and beautiful face ever again, the last time that I would hear "OH YEAAAHH, LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN" from your mouth. I remember giving you an extra mochi donut from my birthday in the robotics room, and now I wish that I could have given you two. And even though we all seemed annoyed at your horrible puns or matchmaking, we were all secretly cracking up inside. YOU were the reason I survived sixth grade Vicky, even after receiving a 70 on a history exam, you made my day better, and the world feels so much more empty without you. Now who's going to pretend to be a tree with me, who's going to make me laugh so much like you did, who's going to make nukem so much more entertaining? You really were a gift, one that I wish that I should have cherished and treasured more. I love you forever and ever Vicky.  -POW (Michelle)

I can't believe you're gone, Vicky. I’m glad we met four years ago and I wish we had more time together.  Please say hello to my grandpa in heaven. I miss you so much. 

Victoria, my child. I can't believe you are gone, life can't be so unfair. My daughter Avika and Victoria were inseparable when they were little. Victoria was in Kinder and Avika in 1st and they would meet in the bus. For many years it was their tradition, both would get down holding hands and there were many days Victoria would come straight to our house for playdate. This was till Avika decided to join online school. I still remember sleepover when next day was April 1st and both Victoria and Avika planned so many pranks on us. Avika still has the lavender flowers and Chinese fan that you gifted her. Avika is in denial. She doesn't believe you are not with us. She keeps saying mamma don't worry she just sprained her ankle again and she would be ok. Vicki we miss you so much. 😢 My angel always be happy wherever you are. 

We had the pleasure of getting to know Vicky and her family when she played for the Dallas Texans. She was a great soccer player and a great teammate. The girls were always trying to catch her smiling so she would try to make a point to not smile...they caught her beautiful smile a few times. You are greatly missed Vicky. I remember first meeting Vicky in 1st grade and then we became best friends until the beginning of 5th grade where she changed schools. She was always very fun and energetic as well as smart. I hope for the best for her now.

It is with a heavy heart that I learned of the passing of Mademoiselle Victoria. I still vividly recall the day I had the privilege of meeting her. Our initial encounter took place in the 5/6 commons, where all the grade 5 students had gathered. Victoria required assistance, and I approached her without hesitation. Right from that very first day, I relished our conversations, as her sense of humor shone brightly. As fate would have it, I discovered that Victoria was going to be a new addition to my French class. Throughout both her 5 and 6 grade years, I had the joy of being her teacher. She was inseparable from Hannah Park in the classroom, always seeking to sit together and collaborate on group assignments. Victoria's enthusiasm for learning French was palpable, and during my time at Hockaday, she stood out as one of the few who not only attempted to converse with me in French during class but also outside. During breaks and between classes, Victoria and Hannah would come to converse in French and this always brighten my day. What added a special touch was the fact that French class was scheduled as the last block of the day. Despite the typical fatigue that sets in towards the end of the day, Victoria and Hannah's vibrant presence ensured that the class remained lively. The past year also held exceptional significance due to the soccer world cup. Throughout the months of the world cup, Victoria would approach me, and together, we'd engage in friendly "bets" on the outcome of matches. Her insights and knowledge about the sport were truly remarkable. Though the loss of this remarkable young lady leaves a void that cannot be filled, I consider myself immensely fortunate to have had the opportunity to be her teacher. Victoria's memory will forever remain etched in my heart. Her time on this earth may have been tragically cut short, but her spirit and impact will endure as a lasting testament to her remarkable character.

I didn’t know Victoria Dai very well, even though she was only a grade above me, but I knew her by her family, her friends, and her vigor. She always seemed to be a bursting ball of energy, no matter how gloomy the day was. It it hard to believe that she is gone, but at least she had friends and family that were with her until the very end. I hope wherever she is now, she is still full of the same good-natured energy. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

You were the funniest, smartest, and just the most incredible human being. You never failed to make any of us laugh, even when we were having a hard day. I miss you already, and it hasn’t even been a week.  We all love you so, so much ❤️

I am so sorry for your loss. Victoria was such an amazing girl and so many memories of her good qualities stand out to me, but I will share with you my favorite one. I had French class with Victoria and remember vividly one day coming into class upset and distracted by something that had recently happened at home.  I sat down at my desk and started thinking about all the work I had to do that night. Suddenly, I heard the sound of laughter and looked up to see Victoria walking into class with Hannah, talking with her and laughing. Seeing her so happy and content brought a smile to my face and brightened my day. Victoria's keen sense of humor and ability to always look on the bright side made my 6th grade year so much better and while she probably never knew how much she affected my life, I will never forget her and the impact she had on me.

Blessed to have spent the last few days with you on practice fields, participating in all the crazy events Coach Jay had scheduled for us & just being along your side! You will dearly be missed! 

I played pickup soccer with Victoria multiple times in Colleyville and she honestly was a better player at her age than many of the guys we played with.
Very respectful and confident young girl. She will be missed. I hope the family finds the strength to make it through this extremely difficult time.

I remember Hannah and Victoria wore matching costumes from Harry Potter. After trick or treating, they all came back to sort the candy. Sara came over too from down the street to negotiate and swap candy.

I wish you could have stayed for all the other wonderful traditions and gatherings in store for you.  I am sad that you will miss all the good things of Middle School.  We will miss your smile and your spirit.

Victoria was my best friend from the moment she came to Hockaday. She was always by my side during classes, lunch, study hall, and visited me during every advisory. I remember always partnering up in french and working together to bring our participation grade up. She always knew how to say the right word to make me laugh or motivate me when I didn’t want to do homework. Victoria was also the smartest person I ever knew. She was the first person I went to when I had a difficult math problem. Thank you Victoria for being my French buddy, my partner in crime, and my best friend. Love you so much!

I remember meeting Vicky for the first time through Connie. As we got to know her better, she opened up and became her sassy, joking self. One of my favorite memories of her will always be meeting her outside history class and the look of disappointment as she tells me she had to save her "son" from the Oregon Trail Project with a basketball toss into the trash can. I laughed so hard my sides hurt. She never failed to brighten up our days. Victoria, I really hope you're skipping around heaven chanting, "OOOOH YEAH. LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN". We'll all miss you so much.

A beautiful and genius girl left this  world so quickly. Last week, I saw you in champions club and never imagined I will not see you again . We will always miss you Victoria!

When I first moved to our neighborhood seven years ago, I remember that Victoria was the first friend I made here.  We sat on the bus together, and every day she made the ride to school and back so much better. When My dad used to quiz me and her on history, math, science, etc. and often, she answered before I even understood the question. She was kind and had some serious brainpower. I will miss you forever, Victoria Dai.

A bright , beautiful and supersmart girl is gone so soon and I am heart broken. My daughter Avika and Victoria were in the same grade in the same school for 5 years . Ours is the first house near the bus stop and I always come out to receive kids from the bus.  When they got off the bus and when Victoria was walking towards her house , I used to ask " VICTORIA , How - You - Doing ? " to that , she will half turn , give a precious smile and say "Gooood" . This was almost a daily routine. 

She came for playdates and I used to quiz them on math , spelling etc. and she did fantastic every time in every subject. She was always cheerful yet calm and , A wonderful big sister.

To the Dai Family , I pray to God for your peace , comfort and strength. I have several good pictures of Victoria and my kids from birthdays , playdates , bus-stop , school etc. which I will share with you.

Victoria is bright and sweet girl, a role model for the younger ones among family friends. We are so heartbreaking for losing her. We will keep her and her families in our prayers and thoughts. 

I used to go to the same school as Victoria, just a grade below her, and I know that she was so kind and helpful to me out of all the incounters I had with her. While I was not very close with her, I know that she deserved better, but that she is watching upon her friends, family, and everyone one else who she cared about. I will miss you so much Victoria, we all will.

I remember the first time I ever saw Victoria. It was back to school day in fifth grade and I saw her. She had a big beautiful smile and pretty brown eyes and shiny black hair. She was laughing at a joke and was hanging out with a group of friends. She made friends so easily and always made people smile and laugh out loud. She told the funniest jokes and made school fun and full of light. She brought snacks to Daisy Den for her friends (and others who wanted a bite of her chocolates from home), and she dominated in soccer every time we played in P.E.. I remember Coach Skaife’s nickname for her “Vic”.  He always complemented her on her extraordinary soccer skills saying things like “Nice goal, Vic!” or “excellent playing, Vic, love to see it!” She was a role model to us all from her academic talent to her friendships and kindness to all. She always looked perfectly gorgeous, with clear skin and silky hair usually tied into a ponytail. I awed at her sheer ability to finish a math problem in record time or ace every class with ease. But beneath all her talent and wits was a sweet, funny, energetic little girl with big dreams. Her heart was big and had room for everything and everyone around her. I sat next to her in English and admired her all the time. I miss her everyday and take comfort in knowing she is in a better place watching over her family, friends, and community. I love you forever Vicky ❤️

We didn’t have a lot of time with Victoria here at Creative Soul Music School but she did leave her mark on everyone here. Her great ear for music and sassy, happy self will forever be with us. We will forever hear her playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and laughing with Alice.   Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family.
