Pastor W. David Rutherford

David is survived by his wife, of 28 years, Rachel L. Rutherford, his daughter Ashley Rutherford Moreno and her husband Marck Moreno, his mother Mary Jo Rutherford, his brother Chris Rutherford and his wife Kim Rutherford, his sister Jeannie Rutherford Trevino, his father Bill Rutherford, his half-brothers Stephen and Sean Rutherford, his half-sister Sarah Rutherford, and 4 nieces and 6 nephews.

David was a graduate of University of Texas at Arlington and Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary and served as the Executive and Children’s Pastor at First Baptist Church of Fort Worth for 16 years, where he had a passion for children and family ministry. David enjoyed vacations with his family and his past times were hunting and camping with friends.

Family will receive visitors at First Baptist Church of Fort Worth, 5001 NE Loop 820, Fort Worth, TX, 76137 on Sunday, September 19th from 4 to 6pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Fort Worth, 5001 NE Loop 820, Fort Worth, TX, 76137 on Monday, September 20th at 10:30am followed Interment at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
