Wanda Joyce Phariss, of Haltom City, TX — We celebrate the life of Wanda Joyce Tate Phariss, 76, born June 27, 1948, in Fort Worth, TX, to George Everett and Odessa “Jean” Tate. She attended Northside High School and dedicated 22 years to American Airlines.
Wanda had the sweetest heart, kindest soul, and was a shining light to all who knew her. She is now reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Charles Michael “Mike” Phariss. Together they shared 45 years of love and marriage that continues to inspire many.
A devoted mother and the sweetest Momo, Wanda truly had a heart as big as Texas—gentle, generous, and full of grace.
Wanda and Mike built a home filled with warmth and laughter. Their greatest joy was watching their family grow, like the gardens Wanda lovingly tended. She cherished simple pleasures—traveling with family, especially to the beach to collect seashells, enjoying Dr. Pepper, fishing, flowers, gardening, sewing, making pillows, and spending time with their beloved dogs, Bubba and Sissy.
Her spirit lives on in her family: son Bryan Phariss and wife Stefani; daughter Laurie Evans and husband Josh; stepchildren Christopher Phariss and wife Heather; April Fullerton and husband Michael. She leaves behind 14 cherished grandchildren: Lake, Kanon, Payton, Averie, Cassidy, Cody, Braylon, Cooper, Brooklyn, Kendyl, Kinsley, Emily, Kailey Mae, and Abigail. She is also survived by sisters Barbara George, Lynda Kay Sawyer, Sherry O’Dell McFerrin, and sister-in-love Deborah and husband Ronnie Walters, and brother-in-love Scott and wife Theresa Phariss.
She was preceded in death by husband Mike Phariss, parents George and Jean Tate, Jean’s companion William O'Dell, and sisters Linda Rozzell and Gloria Webster.
We will miss her deeply. Her love will always remain with us, blooming like sunflowers in every life she touched
