She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Eugene Ellis, her sister Myrtis Terrell, parents Frank Allen Nelms and Julia Myrtis Nelms.
She is survived by her children Ronald Ellis, Gwendy Youngblood, and Brenda Powell (Larry), and two granddaughters, Amy Youngblood Myers (Casey) and Laura Ellis Little. She has six great grand children Dalton Little, Reagan Little, Davis Little, Clayton Myers, Sarah Ellis Myers, Catherine Myers and several nieces and nephews.
She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, MS, where she also served as church secretary. She was strong in her faith and knew the Bible forward and backward. She loved her family, was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved talking to her friends on the telephone sometimes until midnight. She loved ceramics and gardening and her beloved cat Callie. She was a friend to many and loved shopping with them.

A visitation will be held on January 6, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Collierville Funeral Home, located at 3863 Bailey Station Rd, Collierville, TN 38017.
The funeral service will follow at the same location from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
A committal service is scheduled for the same day at Magnolia Cemetery, 435 S Mt Pleasant Rd, Collierville, TN 38017, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
Gifts in memory of Mrs. Ellis may be offered to Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, TN or Samaritan’s Purse.
