Christopher Timothy “Tim” Liley, 57, passed away on September 24, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan E. Liley; and he is survived by his mother, Edna S. Liley, his wife, Jenne Liley, son, Zack Liley, daughter, Anna Liley, step-sons: Michael Spruill, Shawn Spruill, Kary Spruill, and step-daughter, Kathryn Cagle, and was so excited to be “Papa T” to Lydia and Lucas, soon to be Amelia, and soon to be Baby (Michael) Spruill. He touched hundreds of lives throughout his 38 years at FedEx, making many friends and colleagues along the way.
Tim loved listening to and sharing music, learning about sports cars and driving fast. He was a history buff, an airplane aficionado, a backyard bird watcher, a movie buff, an animal lover, a ghost hunter and a Halloween fanatic. He would give the shirt off of his back for anyone and loved to cook large meals for family and friends. His smile and laughter would light up a room, and his dark sense of humor was a key aspect of his personality. One could often hear him saying out loud what everyone else would think internally with unashamed boldness. He will truly be missed by everyone in his life.
A visitation will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, Collierville, Tennessee 38017. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Catholic Church of the Incarnation, 360 Bray Station Road, Collierville, Tennessee 38017.
