Uncle Dwain was a mix of John Wayne and Billy Graham to me as I grew up. He was a hard worker in all he did.  He lived out his Christian love For God and others as much as anyone I ever met. He always made you feel welcomed and that you were a special person,  and would eventually start joking with you and getting you to laugh and enjoy yourself.  He was loved by all. 
He loved Ole Miss and would tape the football games to watch over and over. He loved his family as much or more than anyone I have met.   He loved his wife Evelyn who proceeded him to heaven,  till his last day on earth.  He taught me so many lessons by just observing him and letting me see how a man handles himself and loves others. 
I am grieving our loss but celebrating a race well run by a man I dearly love. 

Best father n law ever. I have been in his family since 1974 and He exemplified what a husband is to his wife , what a father is to his children , what a grandfather is to his grandchildren  and what a Christian man is to others .  As long as I’ve been fortunate to know Him he always put others first. I am so thankful to have had Him in my life ! One of the best memories I have of your dad was riding with him on his golf cart and how much fun we had when he took us for a ride. He loved showing us where the little dog was that chase us as we went down the road. He would ride out to see and check on us before  we were going to go trail riding. I always enjoyed the stories he would tell us. Loved him so much! Love to all of you and praying for strength and comfort at this time. I look forward to seeing him in heaven again one day!

This wonderful man was like a second dad to me. One day as a teenager I ran my car off the road and hit a dirt bank. The car shook like crazy over 20 miles per hour and I thought I had ruined it. Mr Coleman told me all I needed to do was clean the dirt off the front wheel. Fixed everything! This was just the first time he came to help me. He shared his knowledge of wood working, car repairs and even his work shop and tools! Miss him so!

His loving wife, Evelyn Shearin Coleman, of 57 years; preceded him to glory in 2009.


He was the son of the late Bertha and Floyd Coleman.


He also was preceded in death by six siblings.
