Eunice Bates Reed, 79, of Memphis, went to be with the Lord on Friday October 22, 2010. Formerly of Jefferson (Carroll County) MS, she was a member of Leawood Baptist Church, she was retired from Memphis Brake Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Reed, and a brother, Gordon Bates. Survivors include three children, Michael (Pam McBride, Lesa (Darrel) Joyner, and James B. McBride; one sister, Claudia Baggett; grandchildren, Eric (Aimee) Joyner, Ian (Jennifer) Joyner, Alan, Ethan, Caleb, Jesse, Sam, Emma, Abby, Clare Joyner, Morgan McBride, and Jason (Erin) and Ryan (Candace) McBride; and two great grandchildren, Audrey and Luke Joyner. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home, followed by a private graveside service at Magnolia Cemetery.
