After a long and successful career, Russ retired to devote his time to the things he loved most: his family and his many passions.
Russ was a man of many talents and deep interests. He was an avid reader and a gifted storyteller, with a lifelong love of Appalachian history and folklore passed down to him by his beloved Uncle Earl. His deep appreciation for his heritage inspired much of his writing, and several of his short stories were published.
