Ivy Calvin Hood, 83, went Home to be with His Lord and Savior June 18th, 2022. Mr. Hood was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was an avid photographer and a fan of LSU football and Memphis Tigers basketball. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, especially his Bible. He loved the Lord and was a faithful servant. He was devoted to his family and was a loving husband, dad and grand-dad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy Anderson Hood and Annie Spillman Hood.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly Tullos Hood; daughter, Anna Hood Hester (Jeff); son, Andrew Hood (Jennifer); grandchildren, Grant Hester, Zachary Hood, Paige Hood, Matthew Hester and Joshua Hood; a brother, James Hood (Shelley); and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 W Poplar Avenue, Collierville, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 23 at 11 a.m. at The Church on the Square, 104 N Rowlett, Collierville, Tennessee. Interment services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at North Raleigh Cemetery, 224 Mimosa Road, Raleigh, Mississippi.
