Jewel David Cox

David Cox, 79, of Collierville, passed from this life Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville. He was born July 7, 1937 in Fayette County, TN to the late Fred and Susie Joyner Cox. Mr. Cox was a retired plumber with the Facemate Corporation, a member of Kirk Christian Church and attended New Hope Baptist Church in Slayden, MS. He is survived by his wife; Brenda Willis Cox, daughters; Kathy Owens, Faye Cox, sons; David Lynn Cox, Eddie Cox, James Smith, sister; Dean Cox, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and special friends; William Watson, Daniel Willis, Travis Carter, Curtis Willis, Donnie Wilson, Wayne Willis, Bertha Smith, Linda and Ronnie Bennett. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 4 sisters; Clara Mae Moore, Mamie Stone, Mary Inman, Martha Earnest, 3 brothers; Virgil, Fred and Raymond Cox. Visitation will be 5pm – 8pm Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Collierville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Collierville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville.
