At just 23 years old, Jordan had already touched more lives than many do in a lifetime. As a University of Memphis student, Jordan was studying to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. She was a talented teacher and coach, recently employed as a teacher’s assistant at Irby Psychological Services. Jordan had a special passion for working with children. Her love for little ones was unmistakable—she babysat not out of necessity, but because caring for babies brought her pure joy. She was never happier than when she was holding a baby or curled up with a good book.
Jordan lived her life with loving kindness. She grew up involved in soccer, gymnastics, and dance, bringing fun and enthusiasm to everything she did. She was a loyal friend, a fierce and protective sister, and someone who instinctively stood up for those who could not protect themselves. Her compassion ran deep, especially for individuals with disabilities. She learned sign language, so she could help anyone who needed extra understanding or care.
Creative and thoughtful, Jordan loved books and dreamed of writing one of her own someday. Her imagination and gentle humor made her a light to everyone around her. She was always creating something, from jewelry making to ceramics while she would listen to her favorite playlist – perhaps remembering all the fun and formal Daddy -Daughter dances
She loved shopping, especially with her Mom and her sister, Kendall. She had only just begun to shop for her wedding dress - Jordan was engaged to be married to Noah Barnes, and together they were building a future filled with hope, and many plans.
She leaves behind a fiancé and family who adored her more than words can express, along with countless friends, classmates, and children whose lives were brightened by knowing her. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave and the goodness she embodied will remain with us always.
We will forever carry Jordan’s beautiful spirit in our hearts.
