Born on November 18, 1952, in Yakima, Washington. Judith was the daughter of the late Edward and Delores Bond. On June 8, 1975, she married the love of her life, Michael Losey, beginning a partnership that spanned more than 51 years. Together, they embraced the adventures of moving across the country for Michael's work, forming friendships and memories in many places before settling in Collierville in January of 1998.
Judith had a generous heart and a natural gift for caring for others. For many years, she ran a home daycare, where countless children were nurtured, love and treated as part of her extended family. Her compassion extended deeply into animal rescue as well. Judith was passionately involved in greyhound adoption and advocacy, and over the years she and her husband personally adopted more that 20 greyhounds. Each one was welcomed as a beloved member of the family, and she took great pride in giving retired racing dogs, a safe, gentle and loving home.
She found joy in life's simple, beautiful moments. Judith adored Christmas and made the holiday magical for her family each year. She loved watching the Olympics, especially figure skating, and took great pleasure in tending her flower gardens and watching hummingbirds visit her yard. These quiet rituals brought her peace and happiness and reflected her gentle spirit.
Judith is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Losey; her daughter, Jennifer Lankenau (Keshav Barker); her son, Kevin Losey (Moses Dones); her brothers, Alan Bond, Frank Bond (Ki,) and Johnnie Bond (Cindy). She will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering love, and the countless lives that were made better because of her care.
A memorial service to celebrate Judith's life will be held at Collierville Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 2:00 pm with visitation from 12-2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Judith's memory to Greyhound Pets of America-Minnesota (https://gpa-mn.org/donate) in honor of her lifelong dedication to giving retired racing greyhounds a second chance and a good home.
