Kenneth Eugene Johnson

Kenneth Eugene Johnson, 69, Slayden, MS. Ken passed peacefully with comfort and love surrounding him on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 due to complications from a recent surgery. Lisa, his loving wife of 25 years, survives him. He also leaves a brother, William (WT) Johnson (Sarah) of Memphis, TN and two sisters, Mary Sue Shadron (Curtis) of Ocoee, FL, and Donna High of Ft. Rucker, AL. He was the son of the late Thomas Casey Johnson and Wanda Seals Johnson. He will be greatly missed by scores of family, friends, and business associates. He led a very rewarding life full of adventures, hobbies and interest. Most notably, he loved being on the water and in the sky. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, anything outdoors and always had a dog by his side. Ken was the president of KL Johnson Control Services. He was widely regarded as a specialist in the boiler maintenance and repair industry. He was continually called out of retirement to fill this niche. He was a veteran of the US Army, where he served as a MP while stationed in Germany. The family will hold a private service.
