Lester “Nelson” Williams, 86, passed away on August 24, 2022 in Memphis, TN. Nelson was preceded in death by his parents Lester Edward Williams and Sally Mae Lipford; a brother Bobby Williams and his sisters Peggy Rye and Beverly Coopwood. He is survived by his daughter Angela Williams McKinnon, brothers Richard Ray and Mike Williams; and sisters Shirley Sparkman, Brenda Christman and Angela Howerton. Nelson was a graduate of Collierville High School and shortly after graduation he was drafted into the Army. He served his time and came back to Memphis to work. He retired with 30 plus years from International Harvester. Nelson loved gardening and tinkering with old cars but is favorite past time was watching old western movies. Family visitation only at 1:00 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Graveside services for family and friends will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that you make a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Nelson.
