

Marrilee Bowers Lewis, 94, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025. Born in Monette, Arkansas, to Charles E. Bowers and Anna Marie Garrison Bowers, Marrilee lived a long life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.
A proud graduate of Arkansas State University, she earned her bachelor’s degree in education and went on to devote her career to teaching, retiring in 1998. To her family, she was lovingly known as Mamaw, a gentle and steady presence whose warmth touched every generation. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and guidance will be deeply missed.
Marrilee was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby K. Lewis, her parents, and her brothers, Vaunda Bowers and Charles Bowers.
She leaves behind two daughters, Rose McKelvie and Ruth Kerr; grandchildren Matthew McKelvie (Victoria), Andrew McKelvie (Ceely), Anna Marie Kerr, and Jack “Jay” Rodney Kerr III; as well as great-grandchildren Caleb, George, and Jade McKelvie, who brought her great joy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with funeral services to follow at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Southwoods.
