Mary Jane Jolly, age 73, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Mary Jane was born September 1, 1948 to Robert and Juanita Brim. She was an only child. Mary Jane married John Jolly Sr. in 1965 and they proudly raised a son, John Jr., and two daughters, Denise and Wendy in the Memphis area.
Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Jolly, Sr.; three children: John Jolly Jr. (Brittany), Denise Throneberry, and Wendy Swords; two sons-in-law: Jody Throneberry & Trip Swords; twelve grandchildren: Tabitha and husband Erol Agaoglu; Brooke Swords; Kodi Throneberry; Conley (Haylee) Jolly; Brock Swords; Bailey Throneberry; Colton Jolly; Abbi Throneberry; Brandon Swords; Harli Throneberry; Janie Swords and Drew Swords; and six great-grandchildren: Riley, Skylynn, Siena, Baker, Davis & Greyson. Mary Jane was proceeded in death by her parents.
Mary Jane believed in the importance of family and dedicated her life to creating a bond that encompassed 5 generations. Her big, loud family was her pride and joy. She loved having her entire family together any chance she could and was known for making every Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas unforgettable for her family. Mary Jane cherished her lifelong friendship and countless memories with Peggy Edwards. She enjoyed shopping, loved an ocean view and could often be found sneaking away at the end of the day to enjoy a warm brownie with ice cream in her pajamas.
A visitation for Mary Jane will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 West Poplar, Collierville, TN 38017, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. There will be a procession to the graveside service at Magnolia Cemetery. Following the services the family welcomes those who knew and loved Mary Jane to a reception at the Swords residence at 9375 Forest Wind Drive, Collierville, TN 38017.
