Mary Ruth Wayne

Mary Ruth Wayne, 86, of Olive Branch, MS, died Thursday, September 7, 2017. Mrs. Wayne graduated from Treadwell High School in 1949 and retired from Kraft foods. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Byhalia, MS. Mrs. Wayne was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wayne and her son, Lester Mercer. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Hale (Charlie), four grandchildren, John Asbell (Amanda), Jason Asbell (Melissa), Jessica Whalen (Brennan), and Paul Mercer, and three great-grandchildren, Evan Asbell, Luke Asbell, and Skylar Asbell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, September 12, 2017 from 5-7pm and the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 10am, all at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 W. Poplar Ave. Collierville, TN. Interment will follow in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions in honor of Mrs. Wayne may be made to Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 3115 Old Pigeon Roost Rd. Byhalia, MS.
