Melody Burk Highsmith, 69, of Collierville, TN went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Mrs. Highsmith was preceded in death by her step-son, Jason Browning Highsmith; sister, Nancy Jean Burk; and brother, Kenneth Steve Burk. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Wesley Highsmith; son, Steven Reeves (Heather); step-daughter, Nicole Gaulden (Matthew); grandson, Bryce Owen Reeves; and sister, Judy Fay Murchison. Mrs. Highsmith loved the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church where she was very active in her Sunday School Class. She retired from AutoNation Honda. In her free time she enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson with her husband. She also loved the water whether it be the pool or the beach. She was an avid NASCAR fan. She also loved old English sheepdogs. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at First Baptist Church of Collierville on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 12-1 pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Collierville Animal Shelter.
