Michael Daniels Jones Sr.

Michael Daniels Jones, Sr., 69, Retired Commander, U. S. Navy, of Germantown, TN, passed away May 11, 2010. He was born in Manteo, N.C. and was a member of the Church of Christ. After his service in the Navy he later retired from Fed Ex. Commander Jones was a beloved husband, father and grandaddy. Survivors are his wife, Jean Black Jones, daughter, Michelle Jones Hyde and son-in-law, Robert Hyde of Jackson, TN and son, Michael Daniels Jones, Jr. of Plano, TX and granddaughters, Ashley Marie Hyde and Megan Elizabeth Hyde. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Sybil Jones. The family will receive friends this evening from 5-8 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home with the service at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with interment in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery.
